Southwest Breast & Aesthetics

Dr. Tim Matatov Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Tim Matatov is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon who restores the form and function of his patients at Southwest Breast & Aesthetics.

Dr. Tim Matatov is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Southwest Breast & Aesthetics servicing Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ. He believes that being a surgeon is a unique opportunity to restore both form and function to his breast reconstruction patients after mastectomy and is honored to be a part of their journey. He is a highly skilled surgeon for breast reconstruction, having completed his rigorous training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Matatov performs several aspects of reconstructive surgery, such as flap reconstructions, implant reconstructions, corrective reconstructions, second stage reconstructions, and post-mastectomy reconstructions.

Dr. Matatov also regularly publishes medical articles and presents his research at national conferences. He is a candidate for membership by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). Dr. Tim Matatov is a member of the American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgeons. The ASRM is a prestigious society that advances the field of microsurgery through education and technique refinement. The reason this position is so prestigious is that not all surgeons qualify. To even be considered for the ASRM membership position, one must have a high-volume microsurgical practice and also routinely publish papers in the field, which Dr. Tim Matatov brings the Southwest Breast and Aesthetics in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area of Arizona.

Prior to his three years of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery training Dr. Matatov completed a 5-year General Surgery Residency at Louisiana State University, and he was appointed as an Administrative Chief Resident during the final years of both his general surgery and plastic surgery training.

Due to his compassionate patient care, clinical judgment, and surgical skills, he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society as a 3rd year resident; an honor given to only one resident from any department in the institution each year. Dr. Tim Matatov is also a member of the American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery, which is known for advancing the field of microsurgery through education and technique refinement. Phoenix plastic surgeon Dr. Joseph Zakhary

Dr. Joseph Zakhary Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Joseph Zakhary is a reconstructive surgeon at Southwest Breast & Aesthetics in Phoenix, AZ.

He is motivated in helping women regain what they have lost to breast cancer because of his own mother's battles with cancer twice. Understanding the struggles and restorative process the body undergoes continues to drive him to perform his best for his patients. Known for being a caring and compassionate surgeon, Dr. Joseph Zakhary treats his patients and their families with respect and kindness. He knows how important it is for a patient to understand their care plan, and spends time to map out each patient's care for them clearly and concisely.

When getting to know his patients, he learns about their expectations and strives to achieve a team approach between patient and doctor. Dr. Zakhary is double board-certified in both Plastic and General Surgery. When performing a case, he considers every aspect of plastic surgery to understand that reconstruction and aesthetics go hand in hand to give patients the most functional and cosmetic results possible through restoration of the body and mind. In his free time, Dr. Zakhary enjoys tennis and traveling with his family. However, with a two-year old, their dog James Bond, and a new baby on the way, the Zakhary's stay plenty busy.
